Late in the Summer, a red napkin election was held by The Deni Dictionary, asking 0.2% of the Australian population which Chinese restaurant dishes deserved a permanent place on the Lazy Susan.
Would perennial favourite, Mongolian Lamb, get a call up to glory? Would Salt & Pepper Squid get the respect it deserves? Can you even leave a table without Special Fried Rice scattered across the laminate tablecloth?
Finally, the votes came in. The People had spoken. And ‘Australia’s Favourite Chinese Order’ was crowned.
The Deni Dictionary revealed that the Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre had come on board to bring ‘The People’s Banquet’, live in high definition. A partnership of the people delivering a banquet for the people.
Due to popular demand, the venue’s Lucky Prawn Chinese Restaurant is continuing to plate up the very banquet that was voted, debated and argued over by YOU, the Honey Chicken Connoisseurs and Beef n’ Black Bean Counters of this great land.
