Lucky Prawn is a sensory expression of childhood memories at your local Chinese restaurant. The sounds and smell of sizzling beef, the curiosity of deep fried ice-cream, the joy of spinning the lazy Susan until dad clips you over the ear (well, it was the ‘80s).

How do I make a booking?

The easiest way to make a booking for the Lucky Prawn bistro is on this website.

Do I need to book to dine at Lucky Prawn?

We recommend you make a booking to guarantee a table. However we keep tables free for walk-ins. Simply see your host on arrival. We may not be able to guarantee a table or specific seating time until you’ve spoken to the host.

How do I amend a booking?

You can amend a current booking through your booking confirmation email. If there is no option for the timeslot you’ve chosen it means we are fully booked for that date and you will have to select another time slot or different day to accommodate the booking

Do I need to include dietary requirements when booking?

We take all dietaries once all guests have arrived at the booking and can accommodate most requests.

What is the maximum number of guests I can book for online?

We take online bookings for a maximum of 20 guests. This may mean your booking will be across multiple tables, as our tables can only accommodate between 4-8 guests comfortably.

Do we have to dine on the banquet menu if we are a table of 10 or more?

Parties over 10 adults are required to dine on the banquet menu however, this does not include children. If your booking is across multiple tables you are not required to dine on the banquet menu.

How long are the seating times?

2.5 hours. We cannot extend your seating time if your table has been booked by another party immediately after your seating time has finished.

What should I do if we are going to be late? How long will you keep my table?

We will hold your table between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on demand. We don't always have the capacity to get to the phone during peak periods, so we will call you if you haven't arrived in a timely manner.

What's the pre-authorisation fee all that about?

The pre-authorisation fee will be only charged if you cancel your booking within 12 hours of the booking time, or if significantly fewer people show up, or if there is a ‘no show’.

Do you supply high chairs for infants?

Yes. Please note this when you book online or ask the host on arrival.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

If a guest has mobility issues and you are making a booking, please note this in the reservation notes. The Lucky Prawn bistro, Public Bar, Pool Room and Patio are all wheelchair accessible.

Do you allow dogs?

Dogs are allowed in all areas of the venue, except the Lucky Prawn bistro area. If you wish to dine with your hound, simply let us know in the comments and we can ensure you’re sat at a dog-friendly table.

Do you allow outside cakes for party bookings?

We do allow bookings to bring cakes. We won’t serve the cake but we will of course provide a knife when requested. Serving perks are only available when ordering the Deep Fried Viennetta.
